I first started using Judy's Book back when the service launched and was utterly disappointed at the lack of results it provided, as well as somewhat hohum user interface.
A year and a redesign later, and voila, the service now has a good amount of critical mass which translates to relevancy for the user. In the past few months, I've found multiple new favorites in the bars and restaurants category here in the Seattle/Bellevue area.
The coolest part of the service is to find a previously mysterious and unknown place with a variety of positive reviews. Along with Digg, Judy's book has showcased the power of massive user adoption and content creation.
